Join the Ontario Land Trust Alliance
 
It is only by working together that we will succeed in saving the land we love for future generations. The primary qualification of membership in the Ontario Land Trust Alliance is that organizations and individuals support the purposes of the Ontario Land Trust Alliance.

Membership Categories

There is only one voting member category – land trust member. A non-voting member shall have all the rights of a voting member, including the right to hold office, except the right to vote.
 
All applicants for membership will be admitted to OLTA only after a review of their membership application via a resolution of the Board of Governors.
 
Land Trust Member    - Renewing Member application

Land Trust members are registered charities actively working to secure and steward conservation lands.

As a requirement of becoming a land trust member of OLTA the organization must pass a board resolution adopting the Canadian Land Trust Standards and Practices as the ethical and technical guidelines for their organization’s operations and committing to making continual progress toward the implementation of these standards and practices.

Public Agency/Associate Member - application

Public Agency members are largely Conservation Authorities that operate within the province of Ontario. Associate members are non-profit groups or associations that share an interest in the land trust movement in Ontario.

Public Agency and Associate Member charities are encouraged, but not obliged, to adopt the Canadian Land Trust Standards and Practices as the technical and ethical guidelines for their organizations land securement and stewardship activities.
 
Individual Member - application 
Individual members are individuals that have a personal interest in the land trust movement.
